Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Burly Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz digs a good body shot into Bob's ribs.

Bob clinches up against the cage.
Bob lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bob has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Diaz breaks from the clinch.

Diaz clinches.
Diaz looking for a takedown.

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bob throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz moves into range and connects with a jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bob.
Jake Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Bob pushes him off.
Diaz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bob is looking to counter punch.
Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Bob sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Bob lands with a hook. Diaz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.
Diaz lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Bob connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Jake Diaz has been cut.
A solid body kick from Diaz.
Bob scores with a jab.
Diaz tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bob.
Diaz trying to control the position.
Diaz wants to stand and escape but Bob is having none of it.
Diaz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Bob advances to half guard.
Bob content to control rather than advance.

Diaz kicks off Bob and gets to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz clinches up against the cage.
Diaz tries to land a knee to the head but Bob blocks with his arms.

Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bob catches Diaz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bob cracks Diaz on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Diaz falls backwards against the cage. Bob follows up with more strikes that drop Diaz to his knees. Bob keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Diaz! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Burly Bob!
