The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toifer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mondo pinned against the cage. Mondo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Toifer shoots in for a takedown but Mondo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mondo throws a big counter combination but Toifer scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Mondo connects with a crisp jab.
Toifer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Toshihiro Mondo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myke Toifer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mondo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Toifer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mondo has managed to get both his arms back between Toifer's legs - danger averted.

Oh but Toifer is tightening it up a little... Mondo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mondo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mondo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Toifer!
