Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene Sarazen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarazen comes to the cage accompanied by Montana of 300 - Chiraq (remix). Lee has chosen Rancid - Dead Bodies as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Liam Lee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gene Sarazen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam Lee!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands with a slapping head kick.

and Sarazen counters with a left to the body.
Sarazen moves out of range as Lee strikes.

Sarazen is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.

Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sarazen pulls his head out easily.
Sarazen is just content to waste time from the top position. Lee takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sarazen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lee is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sarazen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lee.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lee is looking to take a break and control but Sarazen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sarazen wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.

Sarazen throws a solid leg kick but Lee takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sarazen.
Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sarazen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A jab lands there for Sarazen.

Sarazen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Sarazen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lee takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lee throws the left hand but Sarazen avoids the punch easily.

As Lee looks to move away, Sarazen throws a big counter combo but Lee just gets out of the way.
Some bone on bone action there as Sarazen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Lee leaves Sarazen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
