The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckenzie misses with a takedown
and Silva counters by moving into the clinch.

Silva is trying to trip Mckenzie. He has hold of a leg but Mckenzie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Silva persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mckenzie is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.

Silva gets to his feet - Mckenzie follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mckenzie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mckenzie gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mckenzie tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Silva is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mckenzie buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mckenzie!! Mckenzie is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Silva throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
