Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McAlister moves into the clinch.
McAlister gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cruz.
McAlister is trying to force a seperation but Cruz has the dominant position.
Cruz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McAlister is defending well.
Cruz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cruz managing to block the knees to the body from McAlister.

McAlister escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McAlister lands a head kick!

It looks like William Cruz has been cut.
Cruz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McAlister.
McAlister is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
A combination from McAlister does no damage.
Cruz seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dean McAlister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McAlister throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Cruz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cruz lands in his opponent's guard.
McAlister is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz controls from within his opponent's guard.
McAlister wants to stand up but Cruz is controlling him.
McAlister is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cruz dives into side control.

Cruz stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McAlister rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cruz scores with a body shot.
McAlister thuds his shin into the meat of Cruz's side.
McAlister misses the body punch
and Cruz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cruz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McAlister lands with a slapping head kick.

Cruz is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! McAlister throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Cruz is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
