PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mitsu Misawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bors Ysengrin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ysengrin has chosen Company town as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bors Ysengrin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misawa slips a jab from Ysengrin.
Misawa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ysengrin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Misawa's head.
Ysengrin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Misawa throws a body punch but Ysengrin moves out of range.
Ysengrin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A counter left hand to the body from Misawa misses its target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ysengrin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ysengrin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Misawa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Ysengrin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Misawa.

Bors Ysengrin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ysengrin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Misawa uses from the top position.
