The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salgado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Boromir eats them both and turns towards Salgado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Salgado misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salgado blocks a jab.
Salgado feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boromirs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Boromir throws out a loose jab but Salgado uses good head movement to avoid it.
Salgado throws a quick counter head kick but Boromir was just out of range.
Salgado shoots for a takedown but Boromir saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boromir gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Salgado throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Salgado lands a jab.

and Boromir counters with a nice uppercut.
We've been informed that Boromir has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boromir slips under a jab from Salgado.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Salgado takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Boromir throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Salgado on the side of the head.
Boromir tries to clinch but Salgado is having none of it.

and Boromir counters with a nice right hand that sends Salgado toppling to the canvas! Salgado scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Boromir finish him?!

Salgado is rocked!
Boromir sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Salgado's defenses. It connects perfectly with Salgado's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
