The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West is looking to clinch but Durrant is avoiding it.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And Durrant tries to counter it with a takedown but West pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Durrant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in West's guard.
West working a defensive guard but Durrant passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durrant moves into full mount! West won't be happy about that!

West tries to escape but Durrant has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
