Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manu Tuilagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bob Fynn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Fynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manu Tuilagi!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fynn scores with a jab to the head.
Tuilagi thumps Fynn with a low kick.
Fynn misses with a series of wild punches.
Fynn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tuilagi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fynn scores with a nice strike.
Fynn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tuilagi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fynn was well out of range. Poor timing from Tuilagi.
Fynn tries for a takedown but Tuilagi circles away easily
and Tuilagi counters with a straight right hand.

A little jabbing left from Tuilagi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tuilagi tries to work over Fynn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Fynn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fynn misses with a series of wild punches.
Fynn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tuilagi circles away.
Tuilagi misses with a looping left.
Fynn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Tuilagi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Tuilagi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The referee asks Tuilagi politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tuilagi prefers to stall for the moment though.
Fynn parries the strikes from Tuilagi easily there. Tuilagi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fynn to escape.
Fynn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tuilagi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tuilagi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fynn has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fynn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Tuilagi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tuilagi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fynn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fynn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Tuilagi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tuilagi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tuilagi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Fynn will probably get the nod.

Tuilagi throws a strike but Fynn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bob Fynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fynn is working Tuilagi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Tuilagi has his foot on Fynn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fynn works his way back into a safe position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well Fynn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
