Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Middleton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Middleton lands with a nice body punch.
Middleton misses with an uppercut.
Williams throws a nice looking combination but Middleton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Middleton checks a leg kick.
Middleton moves out of range as Williams throws a body kick.
A little feinted left hand from Middleton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Middleton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A left lands for Middleton.
Williams dips to his left and cracks Middleton with an uppercut!
Middleton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.
Middleton was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like Middleton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Austin Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close round but I would say that Josh Middleton will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Middleton throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Williams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Middleton, who protects the arm well.
Williams is working Middleton over with some ground and pound from side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Williams lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Middleton down.
My spies in The Beast inform me that Williams has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
