Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darren Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakke Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myles comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ruutu's choice of entrance music: 50 Cent - I'm Supposed to Die Tonight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Myles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jakke Ruutu!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Ruutu finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Myles defending well as Ruutu loads up on a big left hand.
We've been told by Myles's head coaches at The Iron Palace that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Myles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ruutu misses with an uppercut. Myles saw that one coming.
Myles drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ruutu sprawls and moves away.

Myles stands up over Ruutu, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ruutu sneaks out the side door and pushes Myles away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Darren Myles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Myles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruutu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jakke Ruutu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Myles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Myles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Myles shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ruutu eats them both and turns towards Myles to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As Myles backs off Ruutu throws a huge counter combo but Myles manages to avoid it all.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Myles.
Despite the aggression on Ruutu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Ruutu is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Myles went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ruutu throws a one two combo.
Myles looks to land a right hand but Ruutu moved out of range.
Ruutu connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Myles's hands.
Myles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ruutu circles away.
Myles with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ruutu to score with a decent uppercut.

Darren Myles's cut is getting worse.
Ruutu cracks Myles on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Myles falls backwards against the cage. Ruutu follows up with more strikes that drop Myles to his knees. Ruutu keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Myles! This one is all over!

A less than humble Jakke Ruutu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
