The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toole I I I comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Carter wants to break the clinch but can't.

The fighters circle momentarily. Toole I I I darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Carter has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Toole I I I uses from the top position.
Carter is looking to stand up but Toole I I I isn't so interested in that idea.
Toole I I I controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Toole I I I pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now.

Carter has a closed guard, preventing Toole I I I from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Toole I I I has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Toole I I I creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Carter is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Carter gets tackled into the cage by Toole I I I. Toole I I I maintains the clinch.

Toole I I I drops Carter onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Carter is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Carter is rocked!

It looks like Ethan Carter has been cut.
Toole I I I lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Carter backwards.
Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ottis Toole I I I seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Toole I I I throws a big uppercut that drops Carter! More strikes from Toole I I I and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Carter lies dazed against the cage as Toole I I I celebrates with his cornermen!
