Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Blood!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Papa Asbra!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Asbra dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Blood has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Blood slips a straight right by Asbra.
Blood shoots in looking for a takedown but Asbra manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blood's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Asbra lands a lovely overhand right.
Asbra scores with a spinning back kick!
Asbra fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Blood on the side of the head.
No luck for Blood with that takedown attempt.
Blood ducks under a wild hook from Asbra.
A shot to the liver by Asbra. Beautiful body shot.
Blood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Asbra counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Blood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A good leg kick by Asbra.
Blood takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Asbra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blood was well out of range. Poor timing from Asbra.
Blood steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Asbra.

Asbra connects with a solid leg kick.
Asbra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blood moves away.
Asbra keeps the fight on the outside.
Asbra looks to throw the jab but Blood is out of range.
Blood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Asbra tries to avoid it but Blood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Asbra to the ground. Asbra escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Blood throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Asbra tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Blood is in Asbra's guard.
Blood trying to control but Asbra is working from the bottom.
Asbra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blood tries to get to full guard but Asbra has control of the leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Asbra missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
I've been told that Asbra has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.
Asbra looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Blood tries to get to full guard but Asbra has control of the leg.
Asbra seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Blood is concentrating on defense, preventing Asbra from advancing position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blood wants to improve his position but Asbra is controlling well.
Asbra looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Asbra is looking to take a break and control but Blood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Asbra trying to mount his opponent but Blood defends it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Asbra lands a nice hook to Blood's body. Blood takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Blood misses with a takedown
and Asbra counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Asbra punishes Blood's body with a nice straight punch.
Blood misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Asbra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A jab from Asbra finds it's way through Blood's defenses.
Good leg kick by Asbra there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Asbra listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Blood shoots for a double leg takedown but Asbra sprawls well. He's pushed Blood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Asbra thuds a left hand into Blood's body.
Asbra throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blood stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Some wild striking there from Asbra.
Blood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Asbra circles away.
Blood gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Asbra connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Blood's hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Papa Asbra dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Asbra wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Asbra digs a good hook to Blood's body.
Asbra jabs Blood to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Asbra lands a nice shot to the body.
Blood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Asbra.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blood.
Blood chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Asbra can pounce on him.
Richard Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asbra fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Asbra connects with a crisp jab.
Asbra throws a leg kick which misses Blood's front leg but catches the back leg as Blood tries to avoid it.
Blood shoots for a takedown but Asbra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Blood takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blood moves in looking to clinch but Asbra pushes him off.
Asbra lands a glancing blow to the side of Blood's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blood walks into a stiff left hand from Asbra.
BOOM! Asbra lands a beautiful left hook that drops Blood. Blood tries to recover but Asbra is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Blood lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Papa Asbra!
Papa Asbra is the new light heavyweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Papa Asbra thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
