The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sane.
Martinez shoots in looking for a takedown but Sane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martinez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown but Sane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sane lands with a hook. Martinez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sane leaves Martinez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Justin Sane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Martinez.

Sane instigates a clinch.
Martinez swings wildly with an uppercut but Sane uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Martinez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sane is fending him off so far but Martinez persists. Nope, Sane circles away and we're back to standing.

Martinez tries to circle away but Sane has him pinned against the cage.

Martinez blocks a head kick by Sane.
Martinez darts in and clinches Sane up against the cage.
Sane manages to break the clinch.
Sane throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sane thows a left - swing and a miss!
Martinez unleashes a big counter combination but Sane bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Martinez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sane is looking to counter punch.
Sane lands a nice shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sane loads up on a big right hand but Martinez slips the punch.
Martinez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Martinez misses with a takedown
and Sane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sane misses with a hook. Martinez ducked under it nicely.
