Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Asko Ilmarinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julisz Michal Kasperski!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasperski clinches up against the cage.
Ilmarinen tries for a takedown but Kasperski manages to get underhooks.
Kasperski throws an elbow but it misses.
Ilmarinen is pushing Kasperski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Ilmarinen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kasperski has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kasperski lands a knee to the head.
Kasperski lands a good knee to the midsection. Ilmarinen won't want to take too many of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasperski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ilmarinen.

Ilmarinen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Ilmarinen is looking to take this one to the mat.

Kasperski misses with a punch to the body.

A right handed body shot lands from Kasperski.
Ilmarinen slowing the pace effectively.
Kasperski's coach down at Bonsai Club MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kasperski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ilmarinen is trying to pull guard but Kasperski turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ilmarinen is trying to drag Kasperski to the mat but Kasperski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Ilmarinen pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kasperski trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kasperski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kasperski is looking to stand up but Ilmarinen won't let him.
Kasperski makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kasperski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ilmarinen's guard.
Ilmarinen pulls Kasperski in to control the position.
Kasperski working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Ilmarinen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ilmarinen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kasperski makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kasperski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ilmarinen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kasperski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ilmarinen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kasperski throws a right and a left that Ilmarinen avoids nicely.

Ilmarinen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kasperski gets caught flat footed, as Ilmarinen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ilmarinen wants to control from the top but Kasperski keeps moving.
Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ilmarinen throws a big elbow that misses.

Ilmarinen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Kasperski grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Ilmarinen takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Kasperski cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Julisz Michal Kasperski!
A less than humble Julisz Michal Kasperski misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
