Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Swann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Maiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swann comes to the cage accompanied by Corey Hart - I Wear My Sunglasses At Night. Maiden has chosen Wildfire in the streets as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maiden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Maiden takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Swann throws a shot from downtown. Maiden moves away and avoids it.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Swann throws a head punch that misses.
Maiden is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maiden blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Maiden wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Maiden looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Swann can't find room to land a body shot as Maiden controls the action.

Swann has Maiden pressed against the cage, preventing Maiden from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Maiden blocks a body shot from Swann.
Swann fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Maiden breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Swann connects with the punch.
Swann throws a nice outside leg kick.
Maiden looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Eddy Maiden has been cut.
Swann lands a nice hook to Maiden's body. Maiden takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Swann throws a combination that misses
and Maiden counters with a single leg into guard. Swann didn't expect that.
Swann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maiden manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Swann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maiden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swann has managed to get both his arms back between Maiden's legs - danger averted.

Swann stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Maiden throws up his legs and catches Swann in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Swann tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Maiden! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Eddy Maiden!
Eddy Maiden bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
