Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxxximus Ryhmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ston Hardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Maxxximus Ryhmes has been cut.
Ryhmes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hardson fails to land with a series of punches.
Hardson tries to bum rush Ryhmes with a series of wild strikes but Ryhmes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hardson closes the distance and clinches.

Ryhmes decides to pull guard.

Ryhmes has his feet on Hardson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hardson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ryhmes gets the takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryhmes advances nicely into full mount.
Hardson controls the position.
Ryhmes controlling from the full mount.

Ryhmes looking to ground and pound but Hardson is blocking nicely.
Hardson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ryhmes is trying to take his opponent's back.
Ryhmes can't control as he wanted to and Hardson manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryhmes thows a huge punch but Hardson dodges it nicely.

Ryhmes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hardson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hardson.
Ryhmes trying to control but Hardson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryhmes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ryhmes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hardson wriggles free and stands up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ryhmes.
Hardson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ryhmes defends it well.
Hardson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A left lands for Hardson.
Ryhmes swats away the attempt to clinch by Hardson.

Hardson shoots in looking for a takedown but Ryhmes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hardson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hardson lands a left and a right that send Ryhmes crashing to the mat, dazed. Hardson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
