Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Rainer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oscar Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alan Rainer!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rainer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rainer drives through and clinches with Randolph against the cage.

Rainer breaks the clinch.
Rainer feints and then cracks Randolph's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Randolph down.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rainer. That's going to slow Randolph down.

Randolph gets caught napping as Rainer dives in and scores a takedown. Randolph manages to retain guard.
Rainer lands a couple of digs.
Rainer wants to control from the top but Randolph keeps moving.
Rainer advances to half guard.
Rainer trying to mount his opponent but Randolph defends it.
Randolph is trying to maintain the position but Rainer is very close to passing his half guard.
Rainer uses his free foot to push down on Randolph's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Randolph.

Rainer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Randolph manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Randolph explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Rainer lands with a nice body kick.

Rainer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Randolph quickly recovers to half guard.
Rainer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rainer wants to stand but Randolph has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Randolph is looking to control Rainer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Randolph avoid being mounted?

Rainer is trying to work for a kimura but Randolph is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rainer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rainer is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rainer is looking to take a break and control but Randolph is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Randolph is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rainer scores with a couple of nice shots.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rainer is nestled in close to Randolph, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Randolph is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rainer scores with a couple of nice shots.

Randolph has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rainer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Alan Rainer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Randolph tries to keep at a distance but Rainer has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rainer jumps guard and drags Randolph to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rainer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Randolph cracks Rainer with a solid left hand.

Randolph distracts Rainer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rainer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rainer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Randolph working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rainer wants to get back to his feet but Randolph is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rainer wants to sweep here but Randolph controlling him for the moment.

Rainer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Randolph doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Randolph manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Randolph is looking to work some ground and pound but Rainer has wrist control.
Randolph has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Randolph postures up in Rainer's guard and throws a big left but Rainer blocks it.
Rainer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Randolph loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rainer wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Randolph postures up in Rainer's guard and throws a big left but Rainer blocks it.

Rainer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rainer clinches.

Randolph breaks the clinch.

Rainer clinches up with Randolph and pushes him back against the cage.
Randolph tries to circle away but Rainer has him pinned against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rainer is on top in guard.

Rainer is breathing heavily.

Rainer is looking to advance position but Randolph has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Randolph connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Randolph misses with a head shot.
Rainer is working to get back to half guard.
Rainer is bucking up trying to escape but Randolph cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Rainer tries to hold on but Randolph pushes him away.

Randolph throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee warns Rainer that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Randolph is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rainer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rainer for a finish.
Randolph throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Randolph lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Randolph.
Randolph lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Rainer hold on?!
Randolph is trying to stick to Rainer's back but Rainer is turning into Randolph. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Randolph's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rainer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oscar Randolph dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Rainer throws a series of punches but Randolph avoids them all with ease.

Rainer rushes Randolph and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Rainer to work.

Rainer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Randolph shoots in looking for a takedown but Rainer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Randolph's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rainer misses with an attempted mid kick.
Randolph tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rainer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Randolph on his heels. He'll look to pass Randolph's guard now, I'm sure.

Randolph is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rainer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rainer gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Randolph has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rainer doesn't defend quickly enough and Randolph has managed to lock this one up! Can Rainer escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Randolph on a fantastic submission victory.
