Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dead Life (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Life darts in and clinches Fields up against the cage.
Fields misses with a punch on the inside.
The referee is keeping an eye on Life - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Life pulls guard effortlessly.
Life wants to sweep but no luck.
Fields wants to stand but Life has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Life wants to control but Fields passes easily into half guard.
Fields prevents Life from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fields missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Fields keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Life trying to control but Fields postures up.
Fields really is a fat lump.

Life is pressing down on Fields's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Life tries for a takedown but Fields circles away easily

and Fields counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fields.
Fields tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Fields is working for takedown but Life is calmly controlling the position for now.
Life tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fields just stands there and leans against the cage.

Life throws his legs up looking for a submission but Fields uses it to pass to side control.

Fields has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Life is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fields's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that Troy Fields will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Life tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fields defends well and Life ends up having to push Fields into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Life throws a head kick but Fields moves out of range.

Fields is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Life jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fields walks away with a smile on his face. Life gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fields throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Life is trying to hold Fields in close to prevent damage but Fields has managed to pass into half guard.

Still in the clinch, Fields scores with a nice short uppercut.

Life has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Fields after a bit of a struggle.

Fields gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Life regains guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Life shoots for a double leg takedown but Fields sprawls well. He's pushed Life's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fields went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Life drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fields manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Life has Fields in his guard.

and Fields counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Fields drags the fight down to the ground.
Fields is looking to stand up but Life isn't so interested in that idea.
Life showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Life's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Troy Fields.
Well Fields has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
