Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tuan Compton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardini Boffalo!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Compton instigates a clinch.
Boffalo has Compton pressed against the cage, preventing Compton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Compton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Boffalo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Compton goes for a double leg but Boffalo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boffalo continues to drive forward.

Boffalo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Compton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Boffalo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Boffalo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Compton is proving hard to escape from.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Compton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Boffalo.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Compton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A frustrated look appears on Compton's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Compton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boffalo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boffalo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boffalo has Compton pulled in close to control his posture.
Compton throws an elbow that misses. Boffalo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Compton's guard. Nice move by Boffalo!

Compton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boffalo controls the pace.

Ricardini Boffalo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Boffalo is nestled in close to Compton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Boffalo in particular looking to stall.

Compton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Boffalo content to control rather than advance.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boffalo connects with a nice short shot to Compton's temple.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Compton is trying to stand back up but Boffalo is controlling him

Compton is rocked!
Boffalo uses his free foot to push down on Compton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Compton.
Oh Compton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Boffalo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Tuan Compton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ricardini Boffalo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Boffalo darts in and clinches Compton up against the cage.

Boffalo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Compton regains guard.
Boffalo is standing up over Compton. Compton looks to escape but Boffalo dives into side control.

Boffalo controls the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ricardini Boffalo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Boffalo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
