The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faflatas shoots in looking for a takedown. Gladius tries to sprawl out of it but Faflatas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gladius manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Faflatas with that takedown attempt.
Gladius darts in looking for a takedown but Faflatas gets double underhooks and turns Gladius into the cage.
Faflatas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Gladius fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

It looked like Faflatas was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Gladius jumps guard but Faflatas stands there with Gladius around his waist. Gladius gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gladius tries to throw a body punch but Faflatas avoids it by throwing Gladius back against the cage.

Gladius wants to take the fight to the mat but Faflatas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Gladius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Faflatas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gladius as he avoids it easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Faflatas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gladius.
Gladius slaps away a takedown attempt from Faflatas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gladius changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That kick from Faflatas tenderised Gladius's leg. Gladius is trying to keep his angry face on.

Gladius shoots for a double leg takedown but Faflatas sprawls well. He's pushed Gladius's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Faflatas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gladius can do to turn this around?

Gladius has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Faflatas is in real trouble here. Gladius gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Faflatas is tapping out! Gladius wins by rear naked choke!
