Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Meida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximiliano Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meridius has chosen Turn Down for What as his entrance music. Maximiliano Meridius struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maximiliano Meridius!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meridius pinned against the cage. Meridius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well Meridius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
