The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson defending well as Asaf loads up on a big left hand.
Jefferson feinted with a counter takedown.
Jefferson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Asaf tries to counter it with a takedown but Jefferson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Asaf throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jefferson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Asaf throws a looping overhand right but Jefferson ducks down to avoid it.
Jefferson attempts a counter takedown but Asaf avoids it well and moves away.
Asaf pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Asaf misses with a hook

and Jefferson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Asaf won't be happy with that.

Jefferson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Asaf is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jefferson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Asaf is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Asaf is trying to improve his position.

Jefferson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Asaf tries to bench press Jefferson off him but Jefferson keeps the position.
Asaf manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Asaf is looking to advance position but Jefferson won't allow it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Asaf lands a nice short elbow.
Jefferson has hold of Asaf's hands but Asaf slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Asaf is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Asaf slips a nice elbow through Jefferson's hands, connecting with Jefferson's forehead.

Asaf is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Asaf landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Asaf looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jefferson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jefferson is rocked!
Jefferson pushes Asaf off looking to stand but Asaf dives back in and keeps control.
Oh Jefferson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Asaf is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jefferson is hurt! He's hurt bad - Asaf fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jefferson from any more punishment! Congratulations to Asaf! Great finish!
