Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armis comes into the arena with Mortal Kombat Theme blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Eli Armis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Armis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrone Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace gets a double leg takedown into Armis's guard.
Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but Armis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Armis is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Armis looking for a guillotine here but Wallace defends easily.
Wallace trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallace trying to control but Armis is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Armis pulls Wallace in close to prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Armis shoots in and gets a takedown into Wallace's guard.
Armis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wallace has Armis pulled in close to control his posture.

Armis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wallace is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Armis tries for a kimura but Wallace is defending well.
Wallace is trying to improve his position.

Armis swings around for an armbar but Wallace sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Armis's guard.

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between Armis's legs - danger averted.
Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Armis has wrist control.
Wallace is stalling in the full guard.
Armis is trying to control the position but Wallace postures up.

Armis looking for a guillotine here but Wallace defends easily.
Armis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wallace's guard.

Armis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eli Armis will probably get the nod.

Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Armis.
Armis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to avoid it but Armis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wallace to the ground. Wallace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Armis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wallace was covering up waiting for the punch and Armis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Armis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wallace's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Armis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Armis prevents Wallace from standing back up.
Wallace is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Armis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wallace doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Armis.
Armis working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Wallace's thigh. Wallace counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Wallace is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wallace manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Armis manages to get himself to full guard.

Eli Armis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Armis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well.
Wallace slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wallace's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wallace decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tyrone Wallace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wallace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Armis sprawls well initially but Wallace persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Armis looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Armis regains full guard. Nicely done.
Armis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there.

Wallace keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Armis's head.

Tyrone Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Armis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wallace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Armis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Armis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Armis passes Wallace's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Armis is looking for a kimura but Wallace is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Armis to get the leverage.

Armis prevents Wallace from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wallace is refusing to be controlled, as Armis sits in half guard.

Wallace is positioning himself well to prevent Armis advancing to mount.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Armis is working for a submission of some sort.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Armis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Wallace tries a head kick but it misses.
Armis connects with a body shot that sends Wallace's belly button to the back.

Wallace manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Armis on his heels. He'll look to pass Armis's guard now, I'm sure.

Wallace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wallace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Armis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Armis is trying to keep Wallace in close.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wallace slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wallace keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wallace wants to stand but Armis has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Armis is not content to let Wallace control the position.

Armis looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Wallace wants to control but Armis is keeping him busy.

Armis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wallace pulls his head out easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tyrone Wallace.
Well Wallace has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
