Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sir Comstock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Risley!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Comstock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Risley.
Risley throws a head kick but Comstock moves out of range.
Comstock tries to counter with a takedown but Risley is quick to defend against it.
Comstock avoids the head kick by Risley.
Comstock drops down looking for a counter takedown but Risley sprawls and moves away.
Risley misses with a wild body shot.

and Comstock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Comstock wants to stand but Risley is controlling his posture from full guard.
Risley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Risley felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Comstock trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Risley doesn't escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Risley's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Comstock is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Risley is in bad spot here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Joe Risley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Risley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Comstock escapes and throws Risley's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Risley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Comstock moves away.

Risley throws a nice outside leg kick.
Risley feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Comstocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Risley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Risley throws a right and a left that Comstock avoids nicely.
Risley throws a body punch but Comstock moves out of range.

Risley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Comstock blocks a head kick by Risley.
Comstock appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

A swing and a miss from Risley.

Comstock checks the leg kick nicely there.
Risley does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Risley throws a sloppy head kick and Comstock moves out of range easily.

so Comstock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Risley has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Comstock is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Risley.
Sir Comstock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Risley is looking to regain half guard here but Comstock keeps moving and retains side control.
Risley trying to control but Comstock flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Comstock really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Risley.

Comstock has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Risley's body.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Risley.
I think Risley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
