Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kimble Cho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Sansing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimble Cho!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alan Sansing!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cho slaps away a takedown attempt from Sansing, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cho enables Sansing to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cho manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cho wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sansing manages to pass to side control.
Cho is looking for a sweep. Sansing is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sansing shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cho sprawls well. Cho wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sansing gets slowly back to his feet.
Cho throws a counter high kick but Sansing was just alert enough to avoid it.
Cho shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sansing eats them both and turns towards Cho to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sansing.

Sansing tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sansing shoots for a double leg takedown but Cho sprawls well. He's pushed Sansing's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cho wants to get back to his feet but Sansing is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Cho pushes Sansing away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sansing gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cho wants to hold on but Sansing pushes him away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kimble Cho will probably get the nod.

Sansing is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cho lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sansing changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cho tries to avoid it but Sansing manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cho to the ground. Cho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cho throws a hook to the side of Sansing's head but Sansing sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sansing dives in and grabs Cho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cho pushes down on Sansing's head and hops out.
Sansing shoots in looking for a takedown. Cho tries to sprawl out of it but Sansing keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sansing throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cho's waist but Cho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sansing off to one side.
Cho is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Cho will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Sansing throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cho was covering up waiting for the punch and Sansing finishes the takedown easily into guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Cho here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Sansing goes for a double leg but Cho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cho continues to drive forward.
Sansing has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cho.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Kimble Cho made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Alan Sansing was interviewed post fight and said 'This fight's not over until my opponent tests negative for performance-enhancing drugs...and given his past history, I doubt that his system's clean.'.
