The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cierpka has his takedown stuffed
and Czerwinski counters with a series of strikes. Cierpka will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cierpka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Czerwinski avoids it really well and circles away.
Czerwinski lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Cierpka dives in for a single leg takedown but Czerwinski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Czerwinski unleashes a big counter combination but Cierpka bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Cierpka closes the distance and clinches up with Czerwinski, looking for a takedown. Cierpka pushes Czerwinski against the cage but Czerwinski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cierpka misses with a takedown attempt - Czerwinski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Czerwinski tries to sprawl but Cierpka drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Cierpka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Czerwinski tries to avoid it but Cierpka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Czerwinski to the ground. Czerwinski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krystian Cierpka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cierpka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Czerwinski's guard.

Cierpka stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Czerwinski has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Cierpka manages to get his head free but now Czerwinski has transitioned to an armbar! Cierpka grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Czerwinski! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
