Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marek Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Tyrmaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aulis Tyrmaaja has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyrmaaja uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koltun.
Koltun stuns Tyrmaaja with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Aulis Tyrmaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyrmaaja shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Koltun pinned against the cage. Koltun gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Koltun gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Koltun apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tyrmaaja or perhaps it was just good defense by Koltun, which made it look bad.

That was a close round but I would say that Marek Koltun will probably get the nod.

After the fight, Marek Koltun was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
