Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trujillo comes to the cage accompanied by Infectious Grooves - Violent & Funky. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, Agustin Trujillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Daniel Williams!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Trujillo slams his shin into Williams's torso.
Williams throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Trujillo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Williams's knee momentarily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Williams tries to sprawl but Trujillo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Williams told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trujillo tries to pass to full mount but Williams defends it.
Trujillo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Williams wants to get back to his feet.
Williams is looking to control Trujillo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Williams avoid being mounted?
Trujillo is trying to control the action in half guard but Williams is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've been hearing that Trujillo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Trujillo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Williams pushes Trujillo off looking to stand but Trujillo dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Trujillo throwing shots but Williams is blocking nicely.
Williams is positioning himself well to prevent Trujillo advancing to mount.

Trujillo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Trujillo has control of Williams's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Williams regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Williams bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Trujillo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.

Williams with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trujillo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Trujillo's legs - danger averted.

Williams cracks Trujillo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Trujillo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Williams was covering up waiting for the punch and Trujillo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Trujillo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trujillo trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Williams controls Trujillo momentarily but Trujillo frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Trujillo clinches.

Williams swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Williams misses with a short punch on the inside.
Williams lands a hook to the side of the head.
Trujillo throws a head punch that misses.
Williams looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Williams lands with a hook. Trujillo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Williams throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Williams gets caught napping as Trujillo dives in and scores a takedown. Williams manages to retain guard.
Trujillo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Williams's guard.
Trujillo wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy.

Trujillo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Williams's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Trujillo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Trujillo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Trujillo lands in his opponent's guard.

Trujillo is really struggling to control Williams but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Trujillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Daniel Williams.

Agustin Trujillo really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Conviction logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
