Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Callum Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Callum Smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Danilo Leblanc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Callum Smith!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblanc shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leblanc's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Leblanc pivots, looking for a leg kick but Smith is out of range and Leblanc settles back down.

Smith moves into the clinch successfully.

Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Leblanc's head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leblanc is defended easily by Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leblanc avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Leblanc seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leblanc seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Smith for as long as he can get away with.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Leblanc is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smith throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith throws a series of punches but Leblanc avoids them all with ease.
No joy there for Leblanc, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith scores with a jab to the head.

Leblanc shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danilo Leblanc. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leblanc tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Callum Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Leblanc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leblanc misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Leblanc avoids the head kick by Smith.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Callum Smith dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Leblanc misses with a head kick.
Smith is looking to slow Leblanc down with leg kicks.
Smith throws a series of punches but Leblanc avoids them all with ease.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Leblanc.

Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Smith scores with a hook.


Leblanc is rocked!
Smith delivers a nice body kick.
Oh Leblanc is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Leblanc is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Smith just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Leblanc has gone limp and this one is over!
