Garcius is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Destroy Everything. Jaius Garcius has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoffman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Garcius!

Hoffman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Garcius tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoffman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Garcius is trying to buck Hoffman off.

Hoffman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Garcius has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hoffman but great work by Garcius.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Garcius lands a nice short elbow.
Garcius is nestled in close to Hoffman , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Garcius working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hoffman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Garcius doesn't defend quickly enough and Hoffman has managed to lock this one up! Can Garcius escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hoffman on a fantastic submission victory.
