Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bugurt Bugurtov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bugurt Bugurtov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Big Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bugurt Bugurtov!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bugurtov throws an overhand right that lands on Dog's shoulder, as Dog tries to avoid the shot.
Dog tries a head kick but it misses.
Bugurtov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dog as he avoids it easily.
Bugurtov misses with a straight right.
Dog fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bugurtov just manages to avoid it.
Bugurtov throws a solid leg kick but Dog takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bugurtov.

A nice leg kick lands there from Dog.
Bugurtov shoots and misses
and Dog cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Dog closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Bugurtov is trying to drag Dog to the mat but Dog just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Big Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bugurt Bugurtov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for Dog to work.

Dog ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dog no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

and Dog makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

A quick step to the side and Dog tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Dog counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Dog scores with a leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dog connects with a leg kick. Bugurtov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Bugurtov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dog is able to avoid easily.
Bugurtov clobbers Dog with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dog dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bugurtov. That did some damage!

Big Dog is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dog looks to land a body kick but Bugurtov moved away.
Bugurtov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dog sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Dog feints and then cracks Bugurtov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bugurtov down.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Dog's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bugurtov under the eye.
Bugurtov throws the left hand but Dog avoids the punch easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Dog counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bugurtov! Dog lets Bugurtov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Dog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bugurtov can do to turn this around?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bugurtov on the ground.

Dog is stalking Bugurtov. Bugurtov circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Dog, and it's lights out! Bugurtov really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
