Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arzlan Bathory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bathory might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Brain Scan. Arzlan Bathory has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A little feinted left hand from Bathory on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Yates lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bathory backs up against the cage.

It looks like Arzlan Bathory has been cut.

Bathory appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Yates jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bathory went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Bathory throws a looping overhand right but Yates ducks down to avoid it.
We've been informed that Yates has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Yates feints a jab promting Bathory to slip. Yates then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bathory slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Yates stalks Bathory and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bathory's face. Bathory staggers backwards, shaken.

Bathory avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It appears Bathory was looking to counter with a kick there.

As Yates looks to move away, Bathory throws a big counter combo but Yates just gets out of the way.

and Bathory counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bathory breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bathory lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yates turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Yates closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Yates misses with a punch on the inside.
Yates using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bathory has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Yates uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bathory has time to react.

Bathory is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Yates doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Bathory crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Bathory's bad books for that mishap!
