Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregory Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Haymax!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haymax fails with a takedown attempt.
Morris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haymax tries to avoid it but Morris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haymax to the ground. Haymax escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Morris counters with a series of strikes. Haymax will be more careful next time no doubt.
Morris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Haymax avoids it really well and circles away.
Haymax is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Haymax shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Morris as he avoids it easily.
Morris closes the distance and clinches up with Haymax, looking for a takedown. Morris pushes Haymax against the cage but Haymax circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Morris is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Haymax manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Morris throws an elbow that misses. Haymax uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Morris's guard. Nice move by Haymax!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Haymax escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Haymax has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Morris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Haymax is striking from the bottom but Morris uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Haymax wants to control but Morris is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Haymax's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Morris is trying to drag Haymax to the mat but Haymax just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Morris has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Haymax avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gregory Morris.
I think Morris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
