Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davie Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aziz Shavershian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aziz Shavershian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Davie Joyce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Aziz Shavershian!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shavershian.
Joyce takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shavershian has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Joyce lands with a hook. Shavershian tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Joyce rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shavershian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shavershian moves into range and connects with a jab.
Joyce misses with a wild body shot.
Shavershian throws a counter combo.
Shavershian is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Joyce's half guard.
Joyce tries to kick Shavershian off but Shavershian keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Joyce wants to stand back up but Shavershian manages to pass into side control.
Shavershian looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shavershian tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shavershian has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Joyce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shavershian on the ground.
Shavershian has hold of Joyce's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Joyce tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shavershian cranks the arm and Joyce screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Joyce, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
