Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josip Ruzic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruzic is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kid N Play - Gettin' Funky. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ruzic.
And Williams counters with a quick kick to the body but Ruzic blocks it.
Williams misses with a hook. Ruzic ducked under it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target.
Ruzic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ruzic moves away from the strike by Williams.
Ruzic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice body kick from Williams.
Ruzic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Williams scores with a jab to the jaw.
Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Ruzic on that attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ruzic crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Williams - the referee stops the clock and Ruzic gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Williams. Ruzic manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ruzic or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams, which made it look bad.
Hector Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josip Ruzic.
Ruzic avoids the body shot from Williams.

Williams darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ruzic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams looks to land a left hand but Ruzic moved out of range nicely.
Williams cracks Ruzic with a right hand to the side of the head.
Williams buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from Williams.

It looks like Josip Ruzic has been cut.
Williams takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Williams throws a leg kick which misses Ruzic's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruzic tries to avoid it.
Ruzic fails with the takedown.

Ruzic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the cage.
Ruzic takes a shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Williams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Williams lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ruzic tries to pull guard but Williams forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Ruzic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Williams with a nice cross.
Ruzic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Williams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Williams feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Ruzic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams moves out of range of the body kick from Ruzic.
The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ruzic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ruzic moves away from the strike by Williams.
Williams lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Ruzic is rocked!
Ruzic gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Williams points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ruzic wakes up just in time to hear Williams thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
