PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eliah Marshal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshal comes to the cage accompanied by "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA. Puch is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Breathe. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eliah Marshal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Robledo Puch!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puch avoids the body shot from Marshal.
Puch drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Marshal defends it well.
Marshal missing with a left hand there. Puch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

We've been told by Marshal's head coaches at LOD: Ground Zero that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Marshal drops his hands momentarily and Puch takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eliah Marshal will probably get the nod.

Marshal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Marshal passes Puch's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Puch is looking to control Marshal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Puch avoid being mounted?

Puch has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Marshal. Oh but Puch has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Marshal goes limp - he's gone! Puch jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
