Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eliott Durst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danny Boyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eliott Durst!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durst takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Durst misses with a series of wild punches.
Durst misses with a low kick.
Durst throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boyd attempts a counter takedown but Durst avoids it well and moves away.
Durst tries to clinch up.
Boyd is looking to counter with head kicks.
Boyd keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boyd attempts a counter takedown but Durst avoids it well and moves away.
Boyd shoots in but Durst avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Boyd gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyd utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Boyd lands a nice shot to the body.
Durst is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Boyd is defending well.
Durst is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Boyd to keep the fight standing.

Durst wants to break free but Boyd has control.

Boyd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Durst smiles and moves away.

Durst tries to keep at a distance but Boyd has taken the fight into the clinch.
Boyd keeps control of Durst as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Boyd breaks from the clinch.
Boyd looks for a takedown but Durst sprawls well.
As Boyd backs off Durst throws a huge counter combo but Boyd manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Boyd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durst throws a sloppy head kick and Boyd moves out of range easily.
Durst fails with a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durst has his takedown stuffed
and Boyd counters with a left and a right that stings Durst.
Boyd misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durst looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Boyd gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Boyd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Durst walks away with a smile on his face. Boyd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Durst lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boyd will feel that in the morning.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durst.

Boyd looks to land a combination. Durst sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Boyd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boyd leaves Durst with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Durst is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boyd's half guard.

Boyd makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Boyd clinches up against the cage.
Durst can't break the clinch.

Durst escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Durst pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Boyd clinches up with Durst and pushes him back against the cage.
Boyd lands a hook to the side of the head.
Durst tries to break free but Boyd pushes him back against the cage.
Boyd can't get the takedown.
Durst swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Durst wants a takedown.

Durst gets control of Boyd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Durst will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Durst is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boyd postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Boyd dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Boyd moves into range and clinches up with Durst.
Boyd can't get the takedown.
Boyd fails to pull guard.

Boyd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boyd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Durst swivels and escapes.

Boyd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Durst's waist but Durst gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boyd off to one side.
Durst shoots in and drives through. Boyd sprawls well.
Durst is looking to clinch.
Boyd feinted with a counter takedown.
Danny Boyd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Durst tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Boyd closes this distance looking for a takedown but Durst circles away.

Durst looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Boyd!
Durst creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Durst is looking to take a break and control but Boyd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Durst stalls from top position.

Durst tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Durst has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Durst scoring with punches and elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durst trying to control the action but Boyd is working from the bottom.

Durst wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boyd, who protects the arm well.

Durst working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Durst throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Durst working the ground and pound but Boyd is defending the strikes.
Boyd struggling a bit here.
Durst remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Durst stands up and beckons Boyd to his feet.
Boyd fails in his attempt to clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Boyd has taken the fight to the clinch.
Durst has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boyd is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Durst wants to break free but Boyd has control.
Boyd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Durst smiles and moves away.
Durst fails to land with a series of punches.
Durst shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boyd as he avoids it easily.
Boyd plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Durst shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boyd napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Boyd tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Boyd won't enjoy being in this position. Durst looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Boyd is tapping - it's over boys! Durst picks up the submission victory!
