The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witika lands a left and a right that send Njitap crashing to the mat, dazed. Witika thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Geremi Njitap has been cut.
Njitap just misses with a punch to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Witika. Njitap does a little dance to reset his feet.
Witika scores with a jab. Njitap acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Njitap throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Witika counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Njitap is breathing heavily.
Witika lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Njitap at a distance.
Njitap takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Witika scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Njitap doesn't seem bothered though.
Witika looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Witika lands a nice shot to the body.
Witika scores with a hook to the body. Njitap takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Witika cracks a nice hook into Njitap's ribs.
Witika cracks Njitap with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Witika has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Njitap to stand back up!
Njitap is rocked!
Witika ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Njitap's jaw. Njitap's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Witika does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sione Witika!
Sione Witika gave a mention to Sully's Bar & Grill in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
