The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is looking to clinch.
A quick step to the side and Howard tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Howard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Howard throws a counter high kick but Johnson was just alert enough to avoid it.
Johnson rushes Howard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Howard pulls Johnson into guard.
Howard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Howard wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment.
Johnson with a nice head shot there.
Howard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Johnson cracks Howard with a solid left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson lands a couple of elbows.
Howard is rocked!
Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Howard felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Johnson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Howard can't hide his disappointment, as Johnson celebrates the victory.

After winning the bout, Chris Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
