Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenny McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Misiek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Misiek has chosen El Picante as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misiek scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Misiek fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McCormick is out of range.
Good leg kick by McCormick there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Misiek misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Misiek takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McCormick misses with a few strikes there.
Misiek tries a quick counter leg kick but McCormick is wise to it.
Misiek on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McCormick. McCormick obviously looking to wear him down.
Misiek displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCormick throws out the jab.

McCormick throws the left hand but Misiek avoids the punch easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCormick fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Misiek checks it well.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from McCormick, right into the meat.

Misiek rushes McCormick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McCormick misses with some punches.
McCormick can't find room to land a body shot as Misiek controls the action.
Misiek tries to land knees in the clinch but McCormick avoids the damage to the body.

Misiek escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Misiek throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McCormick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Misiek throws a body shot but no joy.

letting McCormick counter with a right hand.
Misiek throws a sloppy head kick and McCormick moves out of range easily.
McCormick throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Misiek on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
McCormick buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCormick looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Misiek throws a hook to the side of McCormick's head but McCormick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McCormick fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Misiek looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Misiek takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McCormick missing with a left hand there. Misiek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McCormick throws an overhand right that lands on Misiek's shoulder, as Misiek tries to avoid the shot.
Misiek looks for a takedown but McCormick sprawls well.
A little feinted left hand from McCormick on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kenny McCormick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Misiek.
Misiek throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McCormick sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McCormick blocks the body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Misiek. McCormick does a little dance to reset his feet.
Misiek takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

McCormick feints and then cracks Misiek's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Misiek down.
A jab lands there for McCormick.
Rafael Misiek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and McCormick counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Misiek throws a predictable looking body shot
and McCormick counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McCormick connects with a single shot there.
McCormick throws a leg kick but Misiek sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McCormick lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Misiek at a distance.
McCormick scores with a jab to the head.
McCormick with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Misiek lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCormick circles away quickly and effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCormick connects with the punch.
McCormick cracks Misiek with a right hand to the side of the head.

Misiek is rocked!
McCormick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Misiek is still on wobbly legs! Can McCormick finish him?
Nice straight punches there by McCormick. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McCormick.

Misiek is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. McCormick just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Misiek has gone limp and this one is over!
