Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Pokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Rottwel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bobby Pokka has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pokka gets caught napping as Rottwel dives in and scores a takedown. Pokka manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rottwel is in close to Pokka's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Rottwel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pokka manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rottwel has Pokka in his guard.

Rottwel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pokka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pokka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rottwel can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pokka content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pokka wants to stand up but Rottwel has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Pokka is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Pokka escapes and gets back to his feet.

Rottwel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pokka has his foot on Rottwel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rottwel works his way back into a safe position though.
