The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Belfort looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A left and a right from Jabber both land. Nice combination.
Jabber ducks under a wild hook from Belfort .
Jabber missing with a left hand there. Belfort was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Belfort looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jabber tries to clinch up but Belfort circles away and keeps his distance.
Jabber throws a low kick but Belfort moves out of range easily.
Jabber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Belfort swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jabber.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jabber bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Belfort 's head backwards.
Belfort scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jabber in his tracks.
Belfort clobbers Jabber with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jabber cracks Belfort with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Belfort looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jabber finish him?

Belfort is rocked!
Jabber connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Belfort covering up! Jabber comes in with a big uppercut and Belfort goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jim Jabber!
