The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Ronceveux scores with a nice right hand.

and De Ronceveux holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
De Ronceveux gets through Walker's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Walker is trying to force a seperation but De Ronceveux has the dominant position.
Walker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but De Ronceveux has him pressed against the cage.
De Ronceveux lands a shoulder strike.
De Ronceveux scores with an uppercut up the middle.
De Ronceveux keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walker's efforts to push away.
Walker misses with a body punch.
Walker tries to circle away but De Ronceveux has him pinned against the cage.
Walker tries to break the clinch but De Ronceveux is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Ronceveux blocks a body shot from Walker.
De Ronceveux lands a nice uppercut.

We've been told by De Ronceveux 's head coaches at Wolf Training Lair that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
De Ronceveux lands an overhand right.
Walker scores with a head kick. De Ronceveux tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Roland De Ronceveux has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from De Ronceveux . Walker does a little dance to reset his feet.
De Ronceveux lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Walker tries to work over De Ronceveux 's front leg with a kick but De Ronceveux checks it.
De Ronceveux seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
John Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Ronceveux throws a leg kick which misses Walker's front leg but catches the back leg as Walker tries to avoid it.
Walker on the wrong end of a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!

De Ronceveux darts in and clinches Walker up against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from De Ronceveux .

De Ronceveux makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

De Ronceveux lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

De Ronceveux pushes Walker back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Walker is trying to stall.

De Ronceveux drops Walker onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Walker is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

De Ronceveux pushes Walker against the cage. De Ronceveux is working some dirty boxing. De Ronceveux pushes off with a quick right hook! Walker goes down! Walker tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! De Ronceveux moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roland De Ronceveux !

Roland De Ronceveux decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
