Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russell Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpha Male (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Male gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Male's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Male manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Male tries to pull guard but Rose won't allow it.
Male effectively controlling the action here.
Rose trying to stall but Male improves his position.
Male tries for a takedown but Rose manages to get underhooks.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Male pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Male shoots in for a double leg but Rose sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Male shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rose pinned against the cage. Rose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rose would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rose has Male pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Male manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Male scores with a head kick. Rose tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rose doesn't manage to clinch there - Male circles away.
Alpha Male seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose wants to clinch.

A close second round but Alpha Male will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Male counters with a three punch combo that has Rose backing up. Rose nods at Male to acknowledge the strikes.

Rose jumps guard and drags Male to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rose is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Male jumps into side control!
Alpha Male has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rose is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Male stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Rose keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Rose takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Male has managed to clinch.

Male breaks from the clinch.
Male throws a sloppy head kick and Rose moves out of range easily.

Rose shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Male manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Male takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Male is defended easily by Rose.

Male fails with a takedown attempt.

Rose clinches.
Male tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rose smiles and moves away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Male dives in and grabs Rose's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rose pushes down on Male's head and hops out.
A little feinted left hand from Rose on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rose throws a jab but it's blocked by Male.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Russell Rose.
Well Male has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
