Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alec Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boris Ysengrin!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ysengrin sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Ysengrin misses.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ysengrin circles away.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ysengrin is looking to escape.
Ysengrin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Johnson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson trying to control from half guard but Ysengrin is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ysengrin regains full guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ysengrin has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Ysengrin keeps moving.
Johnson throws a big right hand that misses.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Ysengrin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ysengrin has control of Johnson's left arm, preventing Johnson from doing any damage.
Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ysengrin is keeping the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Ysengrin keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Johnson scores with a punch to the head.
Ysengrin lands a lovely overhand right.
Ysengrin stuffs the takedown.
Ysengrin tries a quick counter leg kick but Johnson is wise to it.
Ysengrin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alec Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ysengrin lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Johnson falls backwards - clearly groggy! Ysengrin dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boris Ysengrin!
Boris Ysengrin bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
In defeat, Alec Johnson stepped up to the mic, saying 'sorry all'.
