Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zlad Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Diaz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zlad Masters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masters closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
Masters slips nicely into half guard.
Diaz wants to get back to his feet.

Masters is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Masters is trying to control. Diaz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Diaz tries to kick Masters off but Masters keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Diaz is looking to get back to is feet but Masters passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Masters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Diaz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masters wants to stand but Diaz is controlling his arm.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Masters works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Masters definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Diaz is looking to stand up but Masters isn't so interested in that idea.

Masters drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Masters off! Masters jumps back into Diaz's guard.
Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Masters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Masters is breathing heavily.
Diaz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Masters is controlling him.

Masters is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Masters pushes down on Diaz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Masters is trying to control. Diaz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Masters shoots in looking for a takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl out of it but Masters keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diaz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Masters wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

It appears Masters was looking to counter with a kick there.

Alexander Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masters looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Masters is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zlad Masters will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Masters has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Diaz defend it? Masters steps over the head and cranks it - Diaz is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Masters!
