Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes to the cage accompanied by Untouchable . Riggs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hot Iron & The Lead Sled. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cung Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Riggs!
Riggs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Riggs tries to land a leg kick but Le saw it coming and moves away.
Le looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Riggs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Le was well out of range. Poor timing from Riggs.
Martin Riggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riggs misses the shot to the body.
Le with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Riggs bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Le moves into range and connects with a jab.
Le lands a high kick!
Riggs tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Le is able to avoid easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Riggs feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Les jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Le looks to land a left hand but Riggs moved out of range nicely.

Le fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Riggs has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The crowd cheers as Le lands an impressive looking overhand right. Riggs doesn't seem phased though.
Le throws a lazy right hand but Riggs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Riggs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Le moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Le wants to land a leg kick but Riggs is out of range.
Riggs takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Riggs's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and Le counters with a right hand to the body.

Le lunges at Riggs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Riggs's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riggs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Le drops his hands momentarily and Riggs takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Riggs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little feinted left hand from Le on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Riggs swings widly with a right hand
and Le counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Le scores with a nice strike.
Good leg kick by Le there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Le ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Riggs tries to close the distance and clinch but Le swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Riggs finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Le is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Le cracks a nice hook into Riggs's ribs.

Le uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Riggs.

Riggs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Le moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Some bone on bone action there as Riggs checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Riggs lands with a hook. Le tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Riggs might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Le has got the better of the exchanges.

Riggs throws the left hand but Le avoids the punch easily.
Le loads up on a big right hand but Riggs slips the punch.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Riggs in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

It seemed like Riggs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
