Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Arnott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Arnott!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arnott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
Arnott throws a nice outside leg kick.

James scores with a takedown into Arnott's guard.
Arnott wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and James manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James thows a huge punch but Arnott dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arnott is pressing down on James's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

James postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Arnott is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of James, into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Arnott is sitting in close to James's body. James has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Arnott is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Arnott is tapping! That was a very nice submission by James.
