Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cameron Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Adams!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Adams shows good takedown defense.
Adams leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Adams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Adams throws a head kick that misses
and Lee counters with a three punch combo that has Adams backing up. Adams nods at Lee to acknowledge the strikes.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Adams has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Adams pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lee tries to pull guard but Adams won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adams has picked Lee up - he's going for a ride! Adams dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adams is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Adams is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Adams drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!


Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Adams has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Adams to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adams tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lee defends well and Adams ends up having to push Lee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Adams is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee.

Lee gets a clinch.

Adams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Adams takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adams sprawls well. Adams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adams.
Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lee tries to clinch but Adams is having none of it.

Adams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Adams gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adams.
Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Adams defends well and Lee ends up having to push Adams into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Adams moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.

Adams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lee closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cameron Lee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Adams is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Adams sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Adams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Adams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Adams has gone for a leg lock! Lee slips out almost immediately though and dives into Adams's guard.

Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee prevents Adams from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lee has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Adams's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Adams to his feet.
Adams throws a head kick that misses.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Adams tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cameron Lee is winning the standup battle so far.

Adams has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.

Adams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Adams moves out of range easily.

Adams is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.

Adams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.

Lee is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Adams presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lee stands and throws Adams's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Adams is trying to get back to half guard.

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adams, who protects the arm well.
Adams parries the strikes from Lee easily there. Lee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Adams to escape.

Lee has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Adams tries to clinch up.
Lee appears to be looking for a big counter.
Adams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
